These buses are powered by the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and originally the ZF 4HP-500 4-speed transmission. The majority of these buses have now been refitted with the Allison B400R4 transmission. Vultron III signs are featured on this series of buses. Calgary Transit has started rebuilding these buses because of frame failure due to rust and corrosion, and they now have over 1/4 of the 49 buses rebuilt.
