ETS purchased 14 of these articulated vehicles for the opening of the LRT line, which occurred on April 22, 1978. They retrieve power from overhead wires through a pantograph, and are 80' long. They are also equipped with heated sanders which automatically release when the wheels slip on the track in the winter. These light rail vehicles are powered by dual 150kW DC motors which put out 200HP at 1200RPM.
