• This series of buses is powered by the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and the Allison VR731 4-speed transmission. These buses were slated for retirement with the arrival of Thomas SLFs in 2000 and 2001, however the SLFs could not handle the rough conditions of the streets in Baltimore. Because of this, these Flxibles, the only 30 foot buses in the fleet, have been called back into major service.
