• These buses are known to be very troublesome and will be retired in 2-3 years time. These were all pulled off in January 1999 for 2 weeks due to high amounts of mechanical problems. 17-098 and 17-170 are fire victims and have been retired. 17-001 was also destroyed by fire on August 5, 2005. These buses are powered by the Cummins C8.3 engine and are equipped with Luminator flipdot destination signs.
